I tried, belive me, I tried, but I couldn’t resist publishing another response to this week’s Curvy photo challenge. As soon as I thought of this photo, I knew I had to put it out there.
This was taken with a very cheap (but reliable) point-and-shoot camera and is absolutely POSITIVELY of my favourite photos.
I dedicate this post to those who don’t own fancy DSLRs; a camera sure is important to capture good photos but nothing beats the beauty of your vision.

Decreased saturation on yellow-green-orange components
So remarkable!
And thank you so much for the dedication 🙂
Thank you for the generous comment, Hammad! 🙂
It is perfect for the CURVY challenge and a beautiful photo 🙂
Appreciate the compliment, Rainee. 🙂
I so much like the colorfulness in your photos! 😀
Thank you so much! 🙂
Incredible photos, so don’t worry, I am glad you shared them with us.
Appreciate the kind words, Marga! 🙂
The photos are beautiful! Thanks for the dedication=)
Thank you. And you’re very welcome! 🙂
I’m glad you did, post this one. An amazing and vivid photo!
Thank you! =)
well with all those curves – twists and refraction and reflection – how could anyone resist??? well done….
Thank you so much! =)
Beautiful capture. Love both versions. When traveling cross-country all I had were disposable camera and the photos were wonderful. The cell phone cameras capture some great photos as well. Have a beautiful day!
Absolutely. Apple designed their whole iPhone 6 campaign using mobile camera photos. We’re living in interesting times. 🙂
Yes we are!!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you so much, Mary.
Fabulous! 🙂 Where is it, please?
I smile as I look at this ‘cos I’ve got this on my camera as well. If I am not mistaken, this was taken at Wafi Mall in Dubai.
You’re absolute correct! 🙂
Thank you. This art installation is in Wafi Mall, Dubai. 🙂
Beautiful piece of art 🙂
It really is. The way the light bounces off it’s glass sheets is absolutely mesmerizing. 🙂
Marvellous capture !
Where is this ? … ahh I read it in the comments.
Thank you so much! 🙂
I’m happy to know that you couldn’t resist posting this, otherwise we wouldn’t have the chance to get to see these awesome photos. Great work!! 🙂
Thank you so much for the appreciation! 🙂
Totally agree. I have a very cheap entry level DSLR and while it does help take a great shot, I believe that a person’s eye is what makes the shot successful.
Thank you for the validation! 🙂
Love those. I use an iPhone. I can’t be a real photographer without a big camera! I know it!
Doesn’t matter. I used to take great photos with my Sony cybershot and it was fairly inexpensive. Today’s iPhone has a much better camera. I know photographers who use iPhone in professional settings too, so give yourself a little more credit. 🙂
Thanks!
You’re very welcome. 🙂
Photography is always about the eye of the photographer. Even an expensive camera cannot change a mediocre composition. This is a very good composition and is perfect for the theme
Appreciate the generous compliment. 🙂
I enjoyed your use of color in both compositions! Striking… thanks for sharing!
Stunning!
Thank you, Sneha. 🙂
Pingback: Curve (gate) | What's (in) the picture?
Thank you for the ping back. 🙂
Great capture – you must have a good camera lol 😉
Not really. It was an old Sony Cybershot. 😉
A non DSLR owner agrees with you 😀 This is just beautiful 🙂
Appreciate the kind words. 🙂
Impressive, indeed, and heartening for those like myself with only a phone camera with which to try and create something acceptable..
Don’t underestimate the power of a phone camera! 😉
I love the colors!
Thank you, Cassie.
Beautiful photos for the curves challenge. I love them! 🙂
Thank you very much. 🙂
It’s very satisfying when something catches our eye, we point the camera, and something beautiful happens.
