Pieces of me

Greetings Fellow Bloggers/Dear Audience (I doubt that I have any at this point in time)!

There’s no other way to start off this blog other than with the cliche/mundane introduction about myself. So check this out – the name’s Yousuf Bawany and I’m a Computer Science geek (some may even call me a jock), currently trying to pursue other passions in life. There are just too many things that I want to do and too little time; life seems to be zooming past. I want to be a structural engineer, a novelist, a lawyer, a teacher, a surgeon, and a physicist (Who am I kidding? I suck at physics), but am aware that I cannot be everything I want to be. So I’m just taking some ‘me’ time (i.e. the blog) every day, trying to figure out what it is that I’m destined to do. Taking things slowly one step at a time can help put things in perspective, all the while helping you identify things that matter most. Everything doesn’t have to be an adrenaline-pumping roller-coaster ride with you screaming your head off while the world just buzzes past you in obscurity; at times, you need to slacken your pace, take a carousel ride instead and enjoy the fascinating 360° panorama.

Now the Passions! As much as I hated the English language during my O’ Levels (ergo the C grade), I have fallen head over heels in love with it over the last five years or so. It’s not the language that fascinates me, it’s the thoughts that one can express using it as a tool. Besides that, I love doing Origami, Photography, writing Poems and Prose, and Cooking. You will be seeing samples of my work on this blog so keep following me.

Finally, a little bit about my writing style! I love to put a lot of my thoughts in writing therefore you may find a lot of italicized references in round-brackets (something like this). I’m of those people who do a back-flip or a mini-dance in their minds every time something good happens, so there’s a lot of additional detail to my thoughts. It might take some time getting used to it but I’m sure you’ll catch the drift soon enough; if not, then you can just choose to ignore these references and breeze through my blog (which, I promise, won’t be as much fun).

So take care and keep reading!
